Alabama’s red-shirt freshman corner Terrion Arnold told AL.com he read the lips of Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher during the final game of the game, where the Crimson Tide came back on their own 2-yard line with Texas A&M with three seconds to win. the game.

The pass actually went to Evan Stewart, the five-star wide receiver recruit who had eight catches for 106 yards so far, including a 23-yard reception against Arnold on that final drive.

Fisher’s play itself was torn apart by many, including former Aggie and Heisman trophy winner Johnny Manziel.
“One of the worst phone calls I’ve ever seen in my life,” he wrote on Twitter. “You have one game to beat the number 1 team in the country and that’s what we do.

“Every practice you have a goal-line period and you practice these kinds of situations. That’s a joke or an end for the Aggies.”
Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban also noted that the Aggies performed a similar play earlier in the game that resulted in a touchdown. He had no intention of making the same mistake twice, so he called a timeout after seeing the formation they were going with.
“When they scored a touchdown before, we played them inside out and closed the flat assuming they were going to make some sort of choice,” he explained during a weekly tv show he does after every game.
