The Son of LeBron James and Other Emerging Basketball Stars Sign Nike NIL Deal

Bronny James, the son of NBA superstar Lebron James, signed his first NIL with Nike.

Bronny James said he always felt like he was part of Nike’s family, given his father’s relationship with them throughout his career.

“Nike has been part of my family for as long as I can remember,” said an ESPN statement. “Having the opportunity to work with them and carry on my family’s legacy both on the field and in the community is wild – it really means a lot to me.”

These NIL deals, which stand for name, image, and likeness, were implemented by the NCAA in 2021 to help college athletes earn money. This includes players who are already in college and those who are incoming students.
